Forecast: Tropical Showers Likely

Tropical Shower in the Monsoon Rains

Imagine sheets of rain so caressingly warm, so drenchingly insistent, so thunderously purifying that you have no choice but to strip down, take shampoo and soap to the terrace, and bathe in the downpour. This is one very lovely way to celebrate the monsoon.

How fun! We had a mud rain a few nights ago here in Texas. That’s right, it rained mud. Apparently a big dust cloud from New Mexico (or some godawful place like that where they have a lot of dirt just flying around) blew over and got all mixed up with our rain clouds and voila! Mud rain. It would be like combining this post and your last post. I probably would have played in it, except I was apparently asleep when all the excitement was happening.

I just want to tell you I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading your blog. I’ve read your articles before, on desicritics, but this is my first time here and it’s been a rewarding read. Thank you!
